Is it Work or is it Love?

"Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life."  Confucius

Do you hate your job, or do you love it?

Loaded question, eh?  Because I know lots of people who hate their jobs.  Hate, hate, hate them.  And I know plenty of people (often creative types) who love what they do.  Though I'd say most people's opinions of their jobs fall somewhere in between. Oregon-washington-columbia-550107-l

I'm thinking about all this because yesterday was Labor Day.  While I took Monday off to go up to the amazing Maryhill Museum in the spectacular Columbia Gorge, I spent much of the other two days of the weekend working.  But don't feel sorry for me, because I didn't mind.

Because I love what I do.  Do you?

I know that you've heard this before: "That's why they call it work.  Its not supposed to be fun."

But what if it was fun?  What if you could have a blast sharing with others what you love?

I believe that you can, and that's why I'm such a loud proponent of writing.  Because:

–If you're born to write, nothing makes you happier than an afternoon at the computer.

–If you're born to share the brilliant epiphanies you've had, nothing can help spread the word like a book.

–If you're born to sell millions of the widgets you've created, nothing can cement your reputation like a blog.

All you have to do is get off your duff and do it.  And then work is not work, its play.  And you won't mind taking some time from you holiday weekend to work, because you love it so damned much.

***If you are having difficulty getting off your duff to write, consider creating a vision board.  Download my free Ebook on how to create one for you book to the right of this post, or click here.  And if you want to read about my amazing results in working with vision boards, go here.
