By the time you get to reading this, I'll be in the air on the way to Nashville.
I'm going to be what they like to call the book doctor and what I like to call the writer-in-residence at Room to Write, a weekend writing retreat held at Scarritt Bennett. This is a whole weekend devoted to writing–heaven–in a gorgeous campus in the center of Nashville. Plus, when I'm not advising people, I get to write my little heart out.
I'm staying on after the retreat to meet with Terry Price, my co-director at the Writer's Loft, and talk about the direction of the program. We've got some exciting new features coming up, including the announcement of new mentors and new writing tracks. (Let me just hint and tell you that yours truly is going to be mentoring a writing track which just might be of interest to some of you.)
There's a chance I might be taking a wee road trip to Oxford, Mississippi, one of the finest literary towns in the country.
And I'll be spending time meeting with clients and friends as well. (If you live in the Nashville area and want to talk to me about coaching you, drop me a line at firstname.lastname@example.org.)
Through it all, I'm going to be doing my best to blog. I've some guest posts lined up and you'll enjoy those. And I'm hoping to have time to keep you posted on all my activities. Because, well, Nashville is one of the best places on the planet and I love it.
So, next time you hear from me I'll be in another place. Magic! Or, as my daughter used to say when she was little, Ma-gic, (with a hard g).
