Five Pairs of Shoes

I'm just off the plane from Manhattan (we got in an hour early–have you ever heard of such a thing?), where I walked so much I went through five pairs of shoes in as many days.  Okay, I did buy one pair of adorable purple sandals and wore them all through Chinatown, but considering the number of shoe stores we went in, its a miracle I only came home with one extra pair!

More tomorrow.  In the meantime, a few photos:

I can’t stand it: I am so jealous. I love cities, the bigger, the better. man o man. Anyway, welcome home. whatever. :-) Loved the Five Pairs of Shoes story. When I lived in London, I would often walk to work and back from my flat. Concrete everywhere. I was always grinding down dress shoes. Couldn’t keep a good pair on my feet. And I hate shopping, especially shopping for shoes. :-( So, I would put it off as long as possible. People in the office would call me the Elfwich Man because the shoes would be so very thin that the front of my shoes would curl up!! Usually, one of the ladies would break down during lunch and take me shopping. Wow: that was a trip in the Way Back Machine… Anyway, welcome home my friend.

I also notice no pictures this morning (Tuesday). Does that mean it was a late night out?

Alright, alright, photo of adorable purple sandals coming! And J.D., I’m just wading through my emails and about to get to today’s blog post.

Roy, I love your story about the Elfwich Man!
