Charlotte Rains Dixon mentors creative writers from passionate to published. Charlotte is a free-lance journalist, ghostwriter, and author. We had such a great Christmas, there’s no reason I should have a Yuletide hangover, but I do. Just reflecting a bit in the early morning. I didn’t attend church on Christmas Eve or Christmas. That’s on my soon list. Otherwise, our holiday was perfect. I love your list of movies below. As you pointed out, there hasn’t been a really good one in a while. That’s why I’m charging you with the task of writing one. Write a contemporary Christmas story. Contemporary in the sense that it includes all the so called progress we’ve made. And we have made tremendous strides. At the same time, we have traded the images of Winslow Homer, Caspar David Friedrich and Chin Shin for Instagram. Before you say it, I love Instagram. So I have hope for the new year, hope for your new movie script, hope for new discoveries, hope for self-discovery, and the wisdom to hold onto to things that matter.

Okay, so here’s an idea, J.D., let’s write a Christmas movie together! Good idea, huh? We really need one. I have lots of hope for the new year and I’m glad you do, too. Also glad you had such a great Christmas.
